Warners Gunton Hall

Warners Gunton Hall

Even though it's within walking distance of the beach, Gunton Hall located near to Lowestoft on the east coast is surrounded by 55 acres of woodland gardens, a picturesque lake and pitch and putt course. So it's more relaxing than you might expect a seaside destination to be. But the village square, bowls and leisure complex and large dance floor still gives us the buzzing, sociable atmosphere you'd expect from Warner. If you would rather enjoy a more active visit to Gunton why not take part in the abundance of activities to keep you on your toes. No matter how you choose to fill your days there is plenty on offer - Indoor bowls, table tennis, rifle shooting and archery, indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room.

Itinerary

Day 1

From your chosen joining point your feeder vehicle will take you to your designated interchange point where your holiday begins. After joining your holiday coach, enjoy a scenic drive to Gunton Hall to arrive late afternoon. Breakfast & dinner included

Days 2 to 3 - At leisure with One included and one optional excursion

Sheringham, North Norfolk's Poppy Line & Wroxham Barns

Sheringham is a rare example of a seaside town hardly changed from a century ago yet thriving still on a potent mixture of Norfolk charm. An award winning beach, steam railway and locally run shops make a stop here a must. From the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham to the Georgian town of Holt, the North Norfolk Railway runs through the county's most stunning coastal scenery. Lovingly-restored steam and heritage diesel trains transport passengers on an 11 mile return journey. Fare included.

On the return journey a stop at Wroxham Barns is a must - Norfolk’s award-winning visitor attraction set in the stunning countryside close to the Norfolk Broads.

There’s so much to see and so much to do. The perfect chance to indulge in some retail therapy. See the talented craftspeople and chat to them while they work, or browse the  shops which offer everything from unique gifts and stylish clothes to fun toys and delicious foods.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION

Aldburgh & Southwold

We head to Aldeburgh today for peeks at this neat little seaside resort and shingle beach. Aldeburgh is a pretty coastal town on the river Alde and enjoys breathtaking views both seawards and following the river Alde inland towards Orford. Its name comes from 'Alde Burgh' meaning "old fort" and the town's history is closely linked to the changes time and Mother Nature have wrought to the coastal map. Today Aldeburgh is famous for many things - good food, great fish & chips, Aldeburgh Music, Maggi Hamblings' Scallop on the beach, as well as a vibrant art and music scene. There are several Art Galleries in the town including one from Caroline Wiseman based in the iconic South Lookout.

Southwold. The town offers much of interest, but it is the sea and Southwold's links with it that make this a wonderful destination at any time of the year. Come and sample the Southwold sea air! All the attractions of the working lighthouse, beach huts, award-winning pier, Adnams Brewery, busy harbour, cliff top cannon and of course the beach, combine to make Southwold a quintessentially English resort town.

Day 5

After breakfast your homeward journey commences and with refreshment stops on the way, you will arrive back in your local towns mid-evening.
